A patio chair is a great addition to any patio, but you should always keep in mind how much space you have and how often you may need to rearrange the furniture. If you plan to leave the chairs on the patio at all time, teak or cypress are good materials, being both sturdy and low-maintenance. Chairs that need to be moved or placed indoors in the winter should be light-weight; aluminum or plastic are good choices. Wicker chairs also serve well for this purpose. Folding chairs are a great choice for mobility, and are usually made from powdered aluminum or plastic. A patio chair does not have to be just a chair, either. Rockers, Adirondack chairs, chaise lounges and loveseats also count.
