Buying outdoor furniture tips

When buying outdoor furniture, there are many factors you’ll want to take into account.  One major factor is the care it will require.  Since this furniture is subjected to the elements, it often wears out more quickly than indoor furniture.  Think about how often you will be using your outdoor furniture and whether it will stay outdoors all the time or will spend some time in storage.  Storing outdoor furniture can lengthen its life, especially if it is made from sensitive materials like wood.  Wood, even if it is resistant to the elements, should be taken well care of. Storage is probably a good idea for all outdoor furniture, though iron and plastic tend to be more resistant to the elements than wood.  Storage keeps the elements off of your furniture and will help to keep it from fading in the sunlight and developing cracks.  Also, keeping your outdoor furniture clean will also help extend its durability.  Dirt buildup does eventually begin to wear out the surface of outdoor furniture, so try to wipe your chairs and tables regularly with a very slightly damp cloth.  Simple maintenance measures like this take very little time but can add years to the life of your outdoor furniture.
