Outdoor Patio Furniture is not only for Patios

Many of you don’t have the luxury of a large yard, but you still want your summer room, and you can’t wait to shop for some outdoor patio furniture. What can you do make a small porch or balcony appear more spacious?  First of all, plan to use the space for only one purpose. A small area can’t be used for as many activities as a larger one. Decide what your priority is, and plan for that alone. It is especially important when you choose your outdoor patio furniture. The number one rule is the old K.I.S.S., “Keep it Simple, Stupid”. Your furniture should be space efficient, but does not have to be small. Many small items make a space more cluttered than one or two large items. You should have a focal point, maybe a beautiful view or an unusual wooden bench. Create a theme. For example, use the same material for all your outdoor patio furniture. Remember you’re your floor space is limited, so choose your furniture accordingly. Adirondack style pieces take up a lot of room compared to some other designs.  Outdoor patio furniture made of wicker may be a great choice for a small space. Use your imagination and plan well.
